Euchre
How to play euchre in one minute
- Teams: you and your partner (top) play against West and East. Each player gets 5 cards from a 24-card deck (9, 10, J, Q, K, A).
- Making trump: one card is turned up. Players can order it up to make its suit trump, or pass. If all four pass, each player may name another suit.
- Bowers: the jack of trump (right bower) is the highest card. The other jack of the same color (left bower) is second and counts as a trump.
- Play: follow the suit that was led if you can. The highest trump wins, otherwise the highest card of the suit led. The game greys out cards you may not play.
- Score: the team that made trump needs 3 of 5 tricks: 1 point, or 2 for all five (a march). If they fail, they are euchred and the other team gets 2. Going alone and taking all five scores 4. First to 10 wins.
